Dr. Qasem Abu Al-Haija is Associate Professor and Chair of Cybersecurity at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST). Recognized among the Stanford/Elsevier World’s Top 2% Scientists, his work combines cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital forensics, IoT, and emerging technologies to address the security challenges of an increasingly connected world.

Cybersecurity and AI Expertise

Dr. Abu Al-Haija holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Tennessee State University and has built an extensive academic and research career across Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United States.

Her work emphasizes that while technologies will continue to evolve, the enduring advantage of every child will lie in their ability to learn, think critically, solve unfamiliar problems, communicate effectively, collaborate with others, and make responsible decisions in increasingly AI-enabled environments.

He has authored and co-authored more than 300 scientific publications covering cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cryptography, network security, malware analysis, digital forensics, IoT, cyber-physical systems, explainable AI, federated learning, and quantum computing.

Today, he leads one of Jordan’s largest cybersecurity departments at JUST, with academic programs covering Cybersecurity, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Quantum Computing, and Computer Game Development.
